I’ll Name That Tuuune?

Hey! Do you have songs that just give you the edge? … continuing a bit of theme here.

Over the years of ME/cfs, many, many times I have relied on music to get me through. Both Worship & Secular music. And I still do.

Particular songs may express how I’m feeling, when I can’t put it into words. Or it may be instrumental, ooh yes, I like that!

I love music, and before developing ME/cfs I would be the last one still dancing at a party (sober I might add). I was still dancing my socks off at 40, and was active in singing in a variety of settings.

But then ME/cfs created, as I see it, an unwanted hiatus! As I approach my mid-50’s (oh help), I keep hoping that’s what I’ll look back on from a dance floor once again. A…

hiatus hʌɪˈeɪtəs

noun ~

~ a pause or break in continuity in a sequence or activity.

Music helps you see beyond the ME/cfs fog!

So, without further ado, I bring you two songs. The first I just want to spin & boogie around to, but can’t. And is a sort of apology to my body, if I’ve not listened too well, (mmm, another recurring theme!)

…and the second is to lift your hands with a woop and a yeah, I’m praising God through it all! I hope you enjoy them.

And… (no I admit, I don’t watch XFactor, too busy for my cogs).

Psalm 150 – NIV

3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.

God Bless & thanks for popping by.

See you again soon. Will you name a tune? (Ooh, that rhymes! 😊)

  1. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! I also find music very comforting. I have a playlist for every mood. Lol. I’m checking out your song suggestion right away. Thanks for sharing!

  3. I use Spotify. I can go through many moods in one day and they have the best playlists on there for that. So easy to search on there. A world without music would be a world without color for me. It would be so dreary. When I just cannot go anymore, On the headphones go and I power through the pain. Great advice!
