Hi to all my lovely readers! This picture was captured a few weeks ago. The garden has had a blasting from gales recently, so not looking quite so green with foliage. And my coldframe took off!! I heard the crashing noises from under my duvet, naively assuming it was the recycling taking off. It was that also.
Gales
I then remembered why I hadn’t replaced the previous coldframe. It also was decimated! Garden lights flung across the garden. Those that survived have literally been planted in a protected trough, offering ambient light to passing toads off to over winter.
Garden Wildlife
The spiders have been busy. It had been so long since I had seen our front door step that my doggo walker had to alert me to all the webs. I haven’t gone beyond the doorstep, but I have now seen the webs. They have since been delicately contained, so as not to disturb the residents too much. I’m not a one for trick or treats, well treats are nice. But not the whole ghoul type thing. But I think they’ll be contained to spooking eachother at home this year.
Podcast News
Apart from spiders webs. In other news. The Podcast is coming along nicely. I even received a thank you from AnchorFm on instagram. Did I miss a trick by not asking to be featured on their posts? Has the moment passed? Probably.
WordPress Features
I’m experimenting with a feature I recently discovered on the WP App. I’d be interested to know what you think. I’ve added my social icons to enable folk to connect with me on a variety of platforms, at the top of the post. While still having the ‘Love to share‘ sharing icons at the end of the post.
This revelation followed a good humoured debacle with WP Happiness Engineers about my last post ‘Announcing The Podcast’ being backdated by 18 hours at the very point of publishing. Confused. We were. And no explanation could be found apart from ‘blip‘! Honestly, there’s no hard feelings!😂

No more blips please!
Then you think it’s happening again and a Happiness Engineer sends you this!⤵️

AH HAHAHA!! At least they have a sense of humour and are understanding of my technophobery. All sorted. Phew!! #grateful
Upcoming Posts
I hope to finish a post on Shower Hacks soon. I remain reassurringly fixated! Having crashed badly all year after showering (well, for the past 16 years to be exact) and more recently having a bath. May have been too much Lavender Essential Oil. It smelled nice anyway. The post has a few tips to hopefully help with people’s shower and personal hygiene endeavours. Yes, I just said that!
So there you have a brief update. I’m hoping to Pod a cast every week. That’s as long as I don’t tire of my own voice too much!!
If you haven’t popped in on the Podcast as yet, please do. It’s so nice to have some company. ⤵️
Until next time. Have a lovely weekend.
Stay safe.
And have a blessed day.

My apologies if you’re having difficulty with the links to listen on Apple Podcasts or Breaker, via my AnchorFm homepage. My Podcast is available on these platforms via their search option. I’m currently looking into the problem with the direct links.
Thank you for your patience and support, I hope you enjoy the listen.
It’s great to hear the podcasts are going well and I think the social share icons are a great idea. I’ve just used the Twitter one to share your post! Right, stupid question, but what on earth is a coldframe?
I’m sorry the gales have wreaked havoc where you are. We had some damage too with the gate on the driveway – a huge bolt managed to come off, leaving the gates open and one on its hinge. I managed to pick up a new bolt, but the strange thing is, the old one is nowhere to be found. It’s a big heavy thing, so where’d it go? Mysteries never cease… As for cobwebs, uck, they’ve been busy here too. I can deal with the cobwebs but not the spiders.
I hope you’re having a relaxing weekend, Penny 🌻

Thanks so much, Caz. I’m enjoying it so far. Hoping I can combine the two, as a blog & pod seem to compliment eachother. And thanks for the thumbs up on the social icons & for the share.😊
Coldframe! Hehehe! It’s a metal framed plant structure, that you don’t heat. Mine wasn’t glass covered thankfully, but plastic. Probably why it took off!🤣 Honestly, the garden was a total mess. Your gate issue does not sound fun. I was seriously concerned our shed was going to decide to launch. Where on earth did the bolt go I wonder. Very mysterious indeed.
Ditto, on cobwebs! Icky, but beautifully constructed.
Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend too, Caz. Thanks so much for stopping in to comment. Always good to hear from you. 💖 xxx

Hello Penny
I am new( ish) to your site, and I read about the podcast. Congrats that they are doing well. I love the swing/garden area. Mine is slowly building year to year, and was happy my roses were growing an blooming this year. I think the social icons are a good idea, I have them on my blog. I am familiar with CF, not so much your other condition, but I will read. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and find blogging a great escape!

Thank you so much for stopping by to comment, Jessica. Thank you for kind comment and good wishes. My garden develops very slowly also, mainly trees really. But hopefully some more colour from flowers next year. I am in touch with an ME sufferer who also has EDS. It sounds a very challenging condition to manage. I also find blogging an excellent escape, and why I’m also trying podcasting. It certainly helps.💙💕

I’m quite impressed with the podcast progress! And the coldframes! I am in southern California, but I have lived everywhere and I am a gardener – so love that! Spiders freak me out totally, however, so, no more!!! Please! Eek!

Thank you, I’m gradually getting the hang of podcasting. Southern California must be beautiful at this time of year. Me & coldframes have an ongoing battle with a very windy garden, hehehe! And spiders, they are everywhere this year!
